Midland Game Fair
The nationally recognised institution that is the Midland Game Fair returns for the 27th time to Weston Park on the 19th and 20th of September 2009.
Over 87,000 air gunners, clay shooters, game shooters, stalkers, gundog enthusiasts, terrier and lurcher competitors, net makers, ferreting enthusiasts and falconers, all flocked to Weston Park to enjoy the celebration of country life that is the Midland Game Fair.
For 2009 the list is sure to increase with the introduction of yet more competitions.
Saturday 19th September Events
Last day of qualifying for the Mitsibushi Motors World Series Final to be held over a 60 bird sporting course of 8 stands.
Two qualifying places left in each of the four classes to go through to Sunday's Final.
In addition to the MMWS qualification there will be cash prizes in all classes paid according to entry on the Saturday with a High Gun prize of £100.
Sunday 20th September Events
Mitsubishi Motors World Series Final - Eighty shooters shooting to win a Mitsubishi L200 Pickup. All runners up in the Final will receive a Franchi Shotgun valued at £900 each (supplied by Purbeck Shooting School).
60 Bird Sporting over 8 stands. Overall High Gun will receive the Bettinsoli Shotgun. Also cash payouts in all classes according to entry.
Both Saturday and Sunday will have Birds only option.
Side Events
Have A Go sessions are available at the start of the shooting line near the Mitsibushi Motors World Series. We will have our own instructors and a wide selection of guns for people to try clay target shooting if they have never had a go or have itchy trigger fingers.

Rabbit Flush:
- Team of two shooting 40 targets
- £10 to enter

Double Rise (Pool Shoot):

- 20 target pool shot from 5 positions
- Cash prize each day paid according to entry
- Overall winner will receive a Bettinsoli Shotgun
Make a Break:
- £8 to enter
- Build a score based on ability and strategy
- Head to Head
- Top 2 from Saturday shoot Head to Head. Top 2 from Sunday shoot Head to Head
- Head to Head Shoot Off of the 2 winners
- Overal winner will receive a Bettinsoli Shotgun
